The big excitement this week has been sandblasting a trailer for a 1959 Continental and repainting it. Erin and Shane helped flip it back over! Finding rot in the bottom of your boat is never a good thing, but we can fix it! The green boat will need a new bottom layer and the other boat will get new frames sistered in or replaced entirely. Shane is working hard to remove all the paint from the bottom of this boat. It's looking great!
Welcome to Erin, our new office manager! She's joining us part time in the office, doing bookkeeping, invoices, and lots of other tasks to keep us organized. She's lived in Greensboro most of her life and has two kiddos and a pet rat. She loves theatre and music and reads in her spare time. He's replacing the stern posts in the transom. He's installed a new chine as well. Jack's woodworking looks great! The joints weren't this tight when they left the factory. We're pressing some original battleship linoleum for installation on a 1946 Garwood. We use whatever heavy things we have around the shop! ![]() Shane is hand sanding the bulkheads for the Flats boat in preparation for varnish. ![]() Gary is reefing out the old cotton between the seams in this Concordia Sloop in preparation for recaulking. |
