1955 Continental We finally got the upholstery back for the '55. In the meantime, Jack installed the battery switch and hooked up the battery. He also custom made metal trim pieces for the floor hatches. Carolina Skiff Nicolas is making progress on the Skiff. He cut the wood for the skeg and chines. Once he's done dry fitting those he'll be able to sand and prime it. 1961 Willy's Jeep Jack is installing some insulation before he installs the interior wood paneling on the doors and roof. Jacks Rowboat Today is Jacks last day here at the shop. He cut, shaped, and primed his oars and primed the inside of the boat. During our weekly meeting today, we all went around the room and individually gave Jack some unsolicited advice... What advice would you give your teenage self if you could? .... We're repairing the damage to this sailboat where they got hit. Ouch! That must have hurt. Nicolas patched the repair and made a new rub rail for it. Yesterday we said farewell to the Cruisers Inc. Today we'll wave goodbye to the Snapdragon. Bon Voyage! - We have an intern here at the shop, also known as Jack, for around 3 weeks gaining credits for his Senior year project. He's been making good progress on the row boat. Sanding, sealing, prepped and painted the bottom. Yesterday, Gary and Jack cut and glued some new oars. Budsin Lightning Bugs I put the final coat of Burgundy on the canopy frames, and I'm still working on getting all of the seat backs sanded and painted as well. Boat 3 deck is nearly done being varnished and I'm building up varnish coats on the decks of 1 and 2. 1967 Lyman We've had a supply chain issue getting in this specific hose and that's been holding us up for quite a few months. Now that we finally received it, we're making progress. Jack is wiring up the motor, bilge pump, blower, hydraulic, and installing exhaust. Carolina Boat
Nicolas and Gary completed the glassing. Next they will fill and fair it, then prime and paint. St. Albert Nicolas and Gary successfully sea trialed the St. Albert before we're ready to deliver the final product. Snapdragon We're wrapping things up on the Snapdragon; Gary put the name decal on the side. Budsin Lightning Bugs I've started sorting, cutting, planing, chiseling, sanding and sealing the new floorboards and interior pieces, I'm priming and painting them. Nicolas used the electric long sander to level off the aft deck before I put a sealer coat of varnish. Shane put the final coat of varnish on boat 3.
