'55 Continental Nicolas and Meghan finished installing the alligator upholstery on the crash rail. Chris Craft Holiday Nicolas finished another coat of varnish. The sponsons have been given a few coats of paint and are looking really great drying in our dust free paint room. Nicolas will be painting the bottom as well. 1967 Lyman Runabout We've dryfit the keel and keelson in place; and pre-drilled the holes for the rudder and prop shaft. 1960 Bristol Runabout Jack has been prepping and finishing the fiberglass seal along the the seams on the bottom and fairing. 26' Sea Skiff Jack sands the swim platform for the Sea Skiff. He also adjusted all the bunks on the trailer including adding two new ones; and then he created and installed a stem cradle for the bow. '55 Continental Meghan assisted Nicolas placing the alligator upholstery on the crash rail. Below: Nicolas tries the old "I stapled my finger" prank. Meghan remains unamused. Cruisers Inc. Shane preps and stains the Cruisers Inc. 1967 Lyman Runabout Meghan filled the screw holes in the keelson and hull with 410; her and Jack added half frames aft of the engine block. Shane and Meghan put the stain on the Holiday. Once dried, Nicolas put on the first coat of varnish. Cruisers Inc. The team successfully flipped the Cruisers! Next, Shane will start stripping the deck varnish and prepping the bilge for fresh coats of varnish. Bristol Meghan and Jack have been scraping the old paint and primer along the keel and chines to prepare for the next steps in installing the outer chines and outer keel. Wooden Boat School Meanwhile, up in Maine, Gary's having all the fun as usual. Here's a time lapse video he sent us showing his class fitting a partial bottom of the 17ft Sportsman. Jack replaced the broken oil pressure and water temperature gauges and sensors and retested the engine to make sure everything was functioning properly. Cruisers Inc. Shane finished the final coats on the bottom and sides, and installed the stem protector. Look at those crisp lines! 1960 Bristol Jack has installed the new chines on the inside and transom frame pieces. He'll patch the holes, clean up the outer chine pieces then reinstall them.
