As we move into the heat of summer, things slow down. Take note that we will be closing for official business starting tomorrow ending August 1st. However, Jack and I will be here holding down the fort and making as much progress as two people can. Happy 4th Everyone! Jack has been single-handedly creating and building this beautiful mahogany windshield for the 26’ Sea Skiff. He turned planks into boards into perfectly fitting pieces and we just sent off the windshield templates to our friends at Windshield Glass. Jack also has been working on the engine for the Ski Boat, removing the shaft so he can adjust it to needed length. Gary and Jack fired up the engine for the 18’ Sea Skiff, which seems to be in decent working order (always good!). The interior pieces have also gotten their final coat of varnish and the gauges have been sent off for repair. Nicholas finished the gorgeous new tiller for the Celebrity and has been varnishing the interior for extra gleam. The mast has also been pulled out and work has begun on that. Nicholas finished the scarfs for the Lyman and they have been placed on the boat and traced to shape. Since we’ll be slowing down so significantly over the next month, I will mainly be keeping up with client project pages rather than a full weekly blog. So start checking back end of July for a summer’s end post. Thanks!
