Jack has meticulously placed over 6 million wooden bungs, lining up the grain to match the plank. Then he chiseled them flush to the hull. Next he prepped the bottom, and applied a coat of primer.
(OK....only 300 bungs, just seemed like a million)
Gary and I installed the rudder post and rudder, prop shaft, Stuffing box and steering linkage, and gas tank. Now we're waiting for the new engine which is stuck in a snow storm up in Ohio!
Budsin Lightning Bugs
I'm nearly finished with the varnish coats on the hull for boats 2 and 3. Shane has been custom making new wooden rub rails for all the them. He has repaired some damage to the hull of boat #1 and put a fresh coat of paint in the bilge.
Chris Craft Holiday
Jack installed more of the customized chrome trim for the Holiday. It is starting to look like a real boat now.
Shane is dry-fitting a new custom metal dash panel.
