We have a lot of updates this week since I only featured myself working on the big Lyman last week. Oops! New boat alert: we're thrilled to have two new boats here; a 1960 Bristol and a Cruisers Inc. 1962 Chris Craft Holiday Things are shaping up nicely. The chines are being completely replaced and we've sanded the bottom to get it ready for a repaint. Check out our Instagram for more pictures and videos of Nicolas working on it. 26' Sea Skiff Jack has really been chugging away on this one. He's on cosmetic stuff now, floor boards, rub rails, polishing original brass pieces, etc. We plan to test run it today! 1960 Bristol New to the shop - we'll be replacing the chines only. Cruisers Inc. New to the shop - Shane gives the Cruisers Inc a good vacuuming and then a good swab of the deck. On this one we'll be doing a full cosmetic restoration. Paint, varnish, touch-ups, etc. 19ft Lyman After removing the garboards last week we could get to the cheek boards and the keelson, which also needed replacing. We milled some solid oak and this week I used the hand-planer to replicate it. Here you can see Nicolas giving me some tips on hand-planing and chiseling.
