Hey y'all! Just a reminder that Gary is up in Maine teaching his annual classes. We're requesting that visitors either call ahead to schedule an appointment or wait until Gary returns in a few weeks. Meghan will be out of town on Friday so no blog this week, next week we'll be back to our regularly scheduled program. 26' Sea Skiff Jack made patterns for the seat cushions to have sent off the the upholsterer. 1960 Bristol This week Jack started removing half of the bottom from the Bristle to further access more of the chine. Cruisers Inc. Shane has been working on the Cruisers Inc., removing hardware, cleaning, and has began prepping the old varnish for more coats. 19ft Lyman Meghan dry fit the keelson, keel, and both cheekboards, pre-drilled holes, and primed the cheekboards. Next she'll install cheekboards before replacing and repairing broken rib sections. Chris Craft Holiday
Nicolas sanded the bottom, filled in any holes and gaps with filler, and finished priming and painting the bottom. He had to remake the bow piece from a new piece of Mahogany which took some steam-bending. He's been hand planing between the planks to create a more smooth surface feel.
