![]() Welcome to the Lowell Boats blog! We thought a weekly blog might be a nice way of connecting with our customers and sharing more of what goes on here at the shop. First of all, welcome to Brady! We've got a new part-timer here to help us take on more boats and finish up current projects more quickly. Brady is a certified chimney sweep who is experienced in woodworking and dreams of laying stone walls in England. We're grateful to have extra hands on deck as we approach boating season. Weekly Update Here's what we've been working on over the last week: Jack worked mainly on the 18' Ski Boat and the 19' Barrelback last week. For the ski boat, he worked on wiring the gauges, building a new engine box, and making new spray rails with Gary. For the Barrelback, he did some varnishing--a full coat on the deck. Nicholas worked on the 18' Continental redoing structural pieces on the starboard side and he worked on the deck structure. For the 20' Grand Craft, he made, designed, and installed the Skeg. He also worked on wiring for the 18' Double Ender. Gary did caulking for the U-21, worked on the electrical panel for the Double Ender, and milled lumbar for frames for the Int-12.
