We have been busy this week! Due to some changes in the building, we've had to spend some extra time and weekends moving things around the shop and clearing out extra stuff. I would love to say we've been "MariKondoing" the place, but all our stuff brings us joy--we just have too much of it. So we've been selling old Chris Craft trumpets on Ebay, giving away wood to woodworkers, and reorganizing and stacking what we can. Also, YAY we finally have heat in the shop again (just in time for Spring)! So we have been getting caught up on varnishing and painting as much as possible. And our crew has grown again! WELCOME Isaiah!! Isaiah is studying Turf Management at GTCC following a long history of loving the outdoors and entrepreneurial endeavors. We are glad to have him here to help us through this busy season! And here's what everyone's been working on: Jack has been finishing up the Ski Boat engine box. It's built and ready to be stained and varnished! Nicholas has been working on the Grand Craft bow section and bottom. It's taken a lot of detail sanding and prepping. He's also removed the damaged frames from the Lyman. Here's a sneak peek of a prepped and ready Pastis getting some beautiful bottom paint. Brady has been carefully fairing the exterior planking of the 26' Sea Skiff. Gary's been milling lumbar for days to prep for stem bending frames. The International-12 and the Lyman are about to get some fresh new boards. He also worked on the engine for the Continental and designed and produced a special tool to pump oil without the engine running. Everyone also came together to roll the Celebrity and get it ready for some serious action! (See Nicholas chisel)
