This week has been so much sanding and varnishing. Everything is looking really shiny right now! Jack sanded and varnished the Grand Craft, the Utility, and the motor box and transom of the 26' Sea Skiff. He also completed the caulk lines on the deck of the 26' Sea Skiff and wired the dash of the Barrelback. (Check out the time lapse in the previous post!) Nicholas stayed busy installing the running gear on the Grand Craft and the Double Ender. Isaiah removed hardware from the Cape Dory, and sanded the Lyman, hatches for the Barrel Back, deck pieces for the Celebrity, and seats for the Lyman. Brady sanded and varnished the 18' Sea Skiff, the engine boat for the Ski Boat, and pieces for the Barrel Back. The Utility also got a nice coat of varnish and is enjoying a good bake in the sun. In addition to his strict supervisory duties, Gary has been caulking the deck of the Ski Boat and wiring the dash light for the Barrel Back. He's also been seen sanding here and there. Coming up, we've got the Maker Faire in Burlington on April 13th (see link below). Gary plans on bringing the beautifully finished Square Stern and the beautifully unfinished International 12. He'll also be doing a demonstration on an aspect of his craft. Come out and see local makers, if you can! Tickets are free at the door.
